Out side my window about 20-40 ft away from my window.
Not 10 feet from my window.
So what did I realize was missing the sounds of these pieces of equipment moving backwords (beep beep beep beep), engines running (duh da duh da duh da duh), and the building shaking (they work so close to the foundation the wall containing the window feels like it is about to seperate from the building and go crashing down into the construction site. This of course means the TV that you watch, volume changes from 20 to 40. And headaches occur more regularly. All in all a Monday morning with quiet until 9:15, leaves me blissfully happy. Then I realize school awaits, Gilmore Girls is on and itis time to go back to "The Manic Monday"
Just in case you want a feel for life by a window with construction, not that others haven't been there too. The reason you get a light fixure shot is it shakes, rattles, and I am hoping to never see it roll. The good news is this summer I get to live in the building you see across my window. The hope is I get to live on the other side of the building. They say that soon the equipement will be gone, but not until the big slab of cement is gone. How do they do that you might ask, by pounding it with scoop of one of the tractors. Ka-Boom. May I also note 3 weeks left till finals, let's hope they stay quiet as requested during finals.
